How does the EQ switch on the Architect P250 EQ affect the output?

The Architect P250 EQ comes equipped with 2 EQ presets, configurable with the switch on the back of the amplifier.

When the switch is set to OFF, the P250 doesn't change any of the frequencies on the incoming signal.

With the switch set to preset 1, the P250 boosts the bass and treble frequencies. This is a loudness curve that improves clarity at low volumes, and can improve the listening experience at higher volumes.
The EQ curve for position 1 looks something like this:



With the switch set to preset 2, the P250 adds a healthy boost to low end frequencies. This can make small bookshelf speakers have greater presence, or let your neighbors know how good your sound system is.
