Troubleshooting the +12V Trigger on a Director, CM, or RS Amplifier

If your zones do not turn on when an external +12V trigger is applied to the amplifier, it's most likely that your zones were manually turned off by something other than the 12V trigger.
When a zone is manually turned off, either in the Web Interface or via IP command, that zone will not turn back on when the amp is triggered. The amp assumes you don't want that zone on, and keeps it off.

How to fix it

Option 1: Via the Web GUI

All we need to do to fix this is turn the zones ON in the web interface while the amp is triggered on.
Trigger the amp on with an external source, or by using the 3-pin trigger connector with a jumper between +12V and Trigger Input like so:

When the amp is triggered on you should hear a click, and the blue Power LED on the front panel will turn on. Make sure the amp is connected to the network via an Ethernet cable, and connect to the web interface by typing the amp's IP address into your favorite browser.

Turn each individual zone's power on by clicking the power button next to each Zone name. If the power Icon is a bright, friendly green color, the zone is ON. If the icon is a dark, friendly grey color, the zone is OFF.

Option 2: Via Telnet Commands

If you have the ability to send discrete IP commands directly to the amplifier through a software like Docklight Scripting, send the following command to the amplifier: allZon<cr>
The next time the amp is triggered on, the all zones will turn on.
