Does Signal Sense work with Dante Inputs?
Yes!
If signal sense is On on your Dante amplifier and the zones are set to a Dante input, as soon as signal is sensed on that input the connected zones will turn on and output audio.
Signal sensing does not actively switch inputs, so if a zone is set to a local input and you start playing a Dante signal, that zone will not turn on. You will need to send IP commands via the web GUI or a control system to turn on a specific zone when an input is selected.
So, if you plan to use a Dante amp in a away where the zones will not change inputs, signal sense will always work. However, if you plan to switch inputs you will need to IP commands.
