In the event that you need to reset your amp to factory defaults, there are 2 main ways to do so. One allows you to save a backup of your settings first, and the other resets without saving any information.
To access the X-series' engineering menu, press and hold the Menu button on the front panel for 5 seconds.
The first option on the menu is Reset to Factory Defaults. select this and follow the prompts on screen and the unit will go into standby. When it's woken up, it will be reset to factory defaults.
Store a Secure Backup
To save a backup of your settings before resetting, scroll down to Store Secure Backup and press Select. On the window that pops up, scroll up to Enter Pin and press Select.
The default pin is 0000, press Select to continue, and a message will pop up indicating the backup was successful. Press select to exit.
All configuration settings, including Dirac EQ Calibrations, will now be saved in the non-volatile memory of the X-series.
You can select Reset to Factory Default, then press the Direct key to initiate the factory reset. The unit will go into standby, and will be at default settings when turned on.
To revert back to your saved settings, press and hold the menu button to access the Engineering menu, then select Restore Secure Backup. The amp will go into standby, and will have all its previous settings when powered back on.
If you have access to the X-series' web interface, the same steps can be performed by clicking Setup, then going to Engineering, and following the same steps listed above.
Fast Factory Reset
